A short description of your interests makes it easier to identify the most relevant club information.
Research question
Describe the item and the feature you are investigating. Include a transcription of visible inscriptions or postmarks where possible, but do not send valuable originals by post.
Events and displays
Ask about upcoming sessions, exhibition visits, display topics or the possibility of presenting a short study. Dates and venue details are confirmed individually.
Before sending material
Protect originals and personal information
Do not post original stamps, covers or documents unless the Club has specifically agreed a suitable arrangement. For an initial question, a clear photograph or scan is usually sufficient. Include both sides of an item when the reverse contains postal markings, endorsements or evidence of condition.
Crop images to the item and avoid including unrelated personal correspondence, addresses or information about other people. If you share an image, confirm that you have the right to do so.

A useful first message
What to tell us
For a membership enquiry, include your general location in the UK, your collecting interests and whether you are looking for regular meetings or occasional study sessions. For an item-related question, describe the country or issuing authority, visible denomination, approximate date, format and any cancellation or marking that prompted your question.
Please do not include payment details, passwords, identity documents or other sensitive information in an initial enquiry. The Club will not ask you to send original philatelic material without first agreeing an appropriate arrangement.
